VAGINA MYTHS *
Vagina myths have been around for generations and that has availed makers of feminine products the opportunity to exploit ladies over the years. Here are 5 vaginal myths every female needs to know;
1, Can Cure Vaginal Infection With Garlic or Yoghurt: This is very deceitful because vaginal infections are caused by Candida Fungus, which is very treatable, using a prescribed antifungal medication that can be gotten from the drugstore. The use of garlic or yoghurt is an unproven method and neither of them have the power to fight infection.
2, Every Itch Is An Infection: This is another deceitful myth, vaginal itching can be caused by bacterial vaginosis, public lice, hormonal changes, an STD called trichomoniasis or irritation/allergy from a feminine product.
3, Loose Vagina: This has been used to shame ladies, which is ridiculous because it's sheer ignorance. The organ is naturally elastic and accommodating, which is why it can not become loose because a lady has had intimacy with multiple partners.
4, Discharge: The myth that every vaginal discharge means something is wrong it totally untrue. There are so many factors that can lead to discharge and some of them includes mid cycle ovulation, discharge before and after period.
5, Intact Hymen: This is another very deceitful myth, because it does not prove the validity of a woman's virginity. The hymen is a thin membrane that partially covers the entrance to the vagina. Although it can be torn during first intercourse, it can also be torn due to physical activity, tampon use or even medical procedures. Also, there are people that were born with no hymen
